Windows 8 Developer Preview Launched!!..

Hey, I am back with some interesting news...

Already known fro the title that Microsoft launches its brand- new, fascinating 'Windows 8 Developer Preview'. The main features of this new version of Windows OS is the user interface, which has been highly redesigned keeping in mind optimization based on touch screen usage as well as mice and keyboard usage. It is having various graphical customizations which we saw in Windows 7. The new METRO UI has been included, something we saw in Windows Phone 7.
With this version, Microsoft has introduced a new start screen like that of the Windows Phone 7.

It has an option to switch between customized desktop and regular desktop by selecting the desktop tile. The windows 8 user interface has been highly developed on HTML5 and Java Script platforms. In this version, applications run on full screen resolution, but with the added feature of running two windows parallel using the swap tool. The various new applications demoed on this version are the stock tracking application, weather application and RSS feed applications, etc. This new version is designed primarily for screen resolutions 16:9 with 1366 x 768 with the ability to display various windows applications.
This new version of Windows OS will be using OEM version activation 3.0 while that used in earlier Windows version was OEM version 2.1. The main advantage of OEM 3.0 is that it makes things less easy to "crack."

A new additional feature of Windows 8 is the lock screen option which shows only the date and time and keeps the screen locked. This new version of OS will also include the Hyper V Virtualization Tool, but not available for the client machines initially. Systems should have a 64 bit processor for 64 bit Windows 8 OS and a minimum RAM of 4 GB to support the Hyper V Virtualization Tool.

The Hyper V Tool also requires a Second Level Address Translation (SLAT) which aids in managing memory of the system. Many of Intel’s AMD processors nowadays come with this feature.

The Windows 8 Version OS reduces the boot time for the system, as it loads the kernel memory into secondary storage or hard disk during the shutdown and reloads it during startup. The Windows 8 has system requirements similar to that of windows 7, including for a 32 bit system a RAM requirement of minimum 1 GB along with x86 processor with 1 GHz speed and minimum free memory space of 16 GB. While for a 64 bit operating system of windows 8 beta version the system must have the minimum configuration of: a 64 bits x86 processor with a minimum speed of 2GHz, a minimum RAM of 2 GB and free memory space of 20GB. The developer preview version of Windows 8 beta download is available now.

People who are interested in getting the flavor of the new version of Windows 8 can download the designer preview version of windows 8 Developer Preview.
