I have already posted a method to hide files in PC using Protected Folder. But what if your friend or anyone else asks (or forces) you to tell the password, so, here is a better technique to hide your files without anyone’s knowing.\


So, here is a new method called Steganography. Steganography is the hiding of a secret message within an ordinary message and the extraction of it at its destination. Steganography takes cryptography a step farther by hiding an encrypted message so that no one suspects it exists. Ideally, anyone scanning your data will fail to know it contains encrypted data.


So, here is a software to do that, Our Secret enables you to hide and encrypt files within other files (called carrier files) such as pictures or sound files. This allows you to encrypt sensitive information, while at the same time hiding it in a file that will not look suspicious, so nobody even knows that there is any encrypted information.


The carrier files are fully functional and identical to the original files (except for the size), so if the message was hidden in a picture file, the picture can still be viewed normally. The program gives you options to hide a text message, or any files that you want. You can specify a password to extract the hidden files.

Disable or Enable Autorun In Windows With This Simple Tool

Whenever you plug in or insert a new device into your computer, Windows tries to automatically run it for you. Sure that is convenient, but this is one of the most common ways that viruses spread in to systems. If you plug in an infected USB flash drive or a CD drive, the Autorun feature of Windows automatically executes an autorun.inf file located in the root of removable devices.

This option can be used by malicious programs to run any unwanted script or program on your computer if it contains some malicious code to gain administrative privileges on your computer. The damage can be anything from someone else using your computer to stealing files from your computer. Today, we have a portable application called Autorun Manager, which lets you quickly disable and re-enable autorun feature for a lot of devices.

The application has one main window that controls disabling and enabling the autorun feature of all the devices. Other than the normal CD-ROM/ DVD-ROM, Removable Devices, Network Drives and RAM Disks, Autorun Manager lets you disable autorun also for unknown devices. There are several options with different combinations of devices for easily and quickly disabling them. To disable a device from performing autorun, just select it from the list and click Apply.

The Disable all option disables autorun for all the devices. If you want to activate the autorun feature again, select Re-Enable All and click Apply.

During testing, I felt that there should be an enable feature for every option. Instead of the current selection boxes, it would be better if each option has a checkbox and lets you choose more than one option at one time. The application works on both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Importing a Database Dump

Before you can actually use WikiTaxi, you must download your Wikipedia from the Internet and import it into a WikiTaxi database. This is necessary for offline browsing, and it is not difficult at all.

To start downloading, follow the link above, pick your Wiki, and look out for the file named:

pages-articles.xml.bz2

Download this file to your local hard disk. It contains all articles, templates, image descriptions, and primary meta-pages of a Wiki. Do not bother with any other files, WikiTaxi does not know how to handle them.

Import the XML dump into a WikiTaxi database

After the download has finished, run WikiTaxi_Importer.exe to extract the Wiki articles from the XML dump file to a WikiTaxi database. Depending on the size of your Wikipedia, this may take a bit of time, but you have to do it once only.
Within the WikiTaxi importer, enter or browse for the XML dump file you just downloaded and the database file you want it to create. Then click the "Import Now!" button and wait until the import is finished.

WikiTaxi usage

Once you have a WikiTaxi database, you can run WikiTaxi to browse your Wikipedia off-line. Start WikiTaxi.exe, and open a database. WikiTaxi will display a random page and you can start browsing from here.

ProduKey doesn't requite any installation process or additional DLLs. In order to start using it, simply extract the files to any folder you like, and then run the executable file - produkey.exe 

The main window of ProduKey displays the list of Windows, Office, and SQL Server products installed on your system. For each product, the "Product ID" and "Product Key" are displayed.
